I believe the reason for this is the amount of exercise I have been doing, obviously the half marathon took a toll on my body but being able to get on the bike the past two days is helping as well. From the picture below you'd think it was a normal day, yes I still I have a few spikes but that is mainly due to taking insulin a little later in to my meal. For instance tonight I was 71 when I sat down for dinner, my meal consisted of pork, a little rice, and some veggies. If I took two units to cover that before I ate I would be around 50 in an hour. Instead I waited until I was almost done to take my insulin and it seems that this has worked.
I'm not sure how long this pattern will last but I must say that I'm enjoying it. My only concern is being to low and taking in to many empty calories to fix low blood sugars. As the colder air draws closer I really need to watch my calorie intake. As my activity level drops as winter approaches the last thing I want is a higher calorie intake which will lead to the usual winter 5 to 10 pounds. I'm determined to keep that away!!
