Nothing changed with my management I just made sure I tested my blood sugar more then normal. If my blood sugar was in range I would have no problem loading or unloading all of our boxes. I would also be my usual fun outgoing self, without blood sugar worries I could be out of range and angry. That's the last thing I want.
All went well but I did have one little hiccup. It is usually important to make sure that you have insulin as well as glucose tabs just in case your blood sugar goes out of range. Leaving my car at my parents so I could use their truck to move bigger items sounded like a good idea, I could just bring the truck back the next day. When you leave your insulin in the car at your parents house things get interesting. Luckily I had no issues but did have to make the drive back to my parents to get my car and my insulin. That was the only mistake, knowing my body and frequently checking my blood sugar helped make the weekend great.
