The challenge I have given myself is to keep my blood sugars below 200 for the next two weeks. Is it possible? Yes, anything is possible, will it be easy? Definitley not, but I will be fun and I will reward myself for keeping my blood sugars in range. If my blood sugar is range later today you better believe I will reward myself with a cookie or two, however if it is above my set range that cookie that I'm longing for will not be eaten. If my blood sugar is not in range I'm the one to blame and to reward myself would be foolish.
Yes this challenege is a little over the top but it is my way to keep my blood sugars in range. At the end of the day that is all that I care about when it comes to my life with diabetes. The two weeks ahead will be a good challenege before the heavy duty training and diet changes begin as I start to work towards all of the races I have planned for 2017.
