The bike ride part of my day should be interesting, I honestly believe that I'm in the best shape of my life. However I have not been on my bike as much I should, I have been running a lot and riding only once or twice a week. The biggest thing tomorrow will be relaxing, I can't go out fast and expect to finish strong. The first fifty miles needs to be at a leisurely pace, around 15 or 16 miles per hour. The next 40 miles around a 17 mph pace and the final ten t a 20mph pace. In the past I have done the complete opposite, I have gone out at 20mph and I pay the price later in the day. As always eating and drinking fluids will play a big part in how the ride goes. I need to make sure to eat and drink every 15 to 30 minutes, if not my body will be very unhappy.
Tomorrow the weather will be interesting, they are calling for temperatures around 85 and a good deal of humidity. If that is not bad enough the wind will be around 15-20 mph, I can only hope it is at our back. No matter how I do on the ride, the day will be great. I can't wait to see all of the friends I have made because of tour and I can't wait to make new ones.
