My knowledge of the glucose necklace is just from that article, I have not had any conversations with the creator but he has found me on Facebook. I will admit that accepting his friendship was kind of cool because I believe that this necklace could be a huge product for athletes living with diabetes. With that said I will be asking Kris Maynard for an interview or to be a part of an upcoming podcast in the near future.
This is a product that I believe in, I have had blood sugars that fall out of range while on the bike or while running and really wish I had the necklace at those times. In fact I wish that I had it Friday afternoon while on my run. Friday was the first hot and humid day here in New England and that took a toll on my body and my blood sugar. I took my trail running backpack with me on the run so that I had plenty of Gatorade and Justins Almond Butter incase my blood sugar went below my set range. I would end up running just over five miles but feel I could have ran more if I had the glucose necklace. The added weight of the backpack was not fun in the heat.
Again the glucose necklace is something to keep an eye on for any and all that are living with diabetes. My hopes are to gather more information about the necklace in the coming weeks, I just wanted to share the information for anyone that has yet to read about this amazing invention!!
