I'm very thankful that I have the ability to take a break from the pump without any problems. In a world where insulin prices are through the roof and getting access to both pens and vials for a pump is tougher and tougher because of insurance I'm lucky.
It took me a couple days to get in the injections groove but once I did things have been great! Thats the good news, the bad news is that I'm enjoying the injections to much. It has me thinking about going back to them full time, the weird part is that I want to get it figured out before the new year. With a little boy on the way I want to make sure my diabetes is dialed in when he arrives in March. The last thing I need is blood sugars that are all over the place with a newborn. I want to worry about him and not myself. With injections I have been able to live and my blood sugars take a back seat because everything is going so well. Time will tell what happens but no matter what I will be thankful that I have options!!
