Team Novo Nordisk CEO and co-founder Phil Southerland:
Team Novo Nordisk is thrilled to make our World Tour stage race debut at the Tour de Pologne. This race carries a lot of prestige and the invitation serves as another major milestone for the world’s first all-diabetes pro cycling team. Our riders are ready to take on this next level of racing and we're looking forward to competing against the best teams in the world. I would like to extend a special thank you to the promoters for the invite, which will help us further globalize our mission to inspire, educate and empower everyone affected by diabetes.
Team Novo Nordisk Senior Vice President of Athletics Vassili Davidenko:
It is an honor for Team Novo Nordisk to receive an invitation to the Tour de Pologne, which will serve as the team’s first appearance at a World Tour stage race with an all-diabetes roster. This race has it all: mountains, fast sprints and plenty of breakaway opportunities. We are very excited for the opportunity to race in Poland and will come with an aggressive squad, ready to fight for results.
