Preparing for my ride I felt really good, that feeling would not last very long at all. After going through downtown Westerly I felt off. Blood sugar wise everything was fine, yes I was a little higher than usual but that was not the problem. I was enjoying my ride but my body was off, I don’t know if it was just one of those days or if my body is tired. Believe me I will find out when I ride tomorrow morning. As you will see my cycling numbers were normal for this time of year, I don’t know what the problem was but I’ll shake it off and like a high blood sugar it’s in the past I have no magical powers that will let me go back and fix it. When I arrived home after my ride my blood sugar was at 99. I took six units of insulin and got cleaned up and then enjoyed my lunch.
As the day progressed the feeling that I had on the bike was present the rest of the day. I have a feeling it was just one of those days. I took a nap hoping to kick start myself for the rest of the day but no luck. Again it was just one of those days, and in true Ryan fashion I did have a nice five minute reflection on a couple of good friends that I have lost in my life. When that began I went back to summers spent at the golf course, the whiffle ball games, and the hockey games. The happy memories quickly brought a smile and some tears of the good times we had. Tomorrow is a new day but I will leave tonight’s post with a nice quote that I found.
"My friends we've seen it all, when it made no sense at all"
