Recovery, Boredom and Hope vs Fear

The good news is that my recovery is going very well.  I can walk and get around quite well, all things considered.  Watching me go up or downstairs is very funny however, I have been thinking about buying a stairlift however.  My blood sugars today have been normal except for an odd spike just after lunch.  Today was a very slow day in which my only job was to stretch and try to get hydrated.

As many of you know not doing anything is very tough for me.  I need to be doing something or I feel like I'm not contributing anything to the world.  My highlight today was going to the school to train a few of the basketball players.  As they did their warmup mile I decided I would go for a nice walk around the track.  I was moving like a turtle, the three athletes completed two laps to my one.  After training for so long it is so tough to take a week off, it is needed but mentally it is excruciating to sit around and do nothing.  Tomorrow bring a return to work and a return to normalcy, I can't wait!!

Finally, I have a great link to share from the great Kerri Morrone Sparling of Sixuntilme!!!  Early last year I had the privilege of working with Kerri Morrone Sparling of Sixuntilme, Katy from Big Foot Child Have Diabetes and The Briley from InDpendence.  The videos are amazing and I encourage everyone to watch them!!  Click Here to see the Hope vs Fear videos!!
