I recieved this email this morning about my blog from last night. Is it me or does this email seem to be an email that highlights what the station does? I appreciate the free plug for the event on August 6th but I feel the email was nothing more than the station trying to cover its ass.
I spoke with Chris about his comments and it was all completely in jest. Here is what his “bit” included;
There's a new sandwich recipe floating around online that looks like it MIGHT be the world's most delicious sandwich . . . and requires almost NO EFFORT to make.
Take two pieces of bread. On one piece, spread three horizontal rows: Jelly, honey, and marshmallow fluff. On the other piece, spread three vertical columns: Crunchy peanut butter, Nutella chocolate spread, and CREAMY peanut butter.
By doing one piece with rows and one with columns, you're guaranteed to try every ingredient with every other ingredient. And hey, if it doesn't taste good, at least you'll have diabetes as a souvenir of your adventure?”
I’m sorry if this did not come across as something that was not healthy to eat for anyone. We are very aware of the damage diabetes can and does cause. In fact for the last two years WNLC and Chris have been the media partner in Step Out to Stop diabetes. We support the walk that takes place each year in New London with messages from local people that have been diagnosed with various stages of diabetes. This walk raises money for diabetes research and most importantly educates our community about the causes and way to avoid and control diabetes.
