I have become so obsessed with keeping my blood sugars in a 80-137 range that if I see it above 180 I will over react and take a little insulin to get down to 100. I hate seeing those damn arrows next to my blood sugar saying that my blood sugar is rising. I honestly know that my blood sugar will come back down if I don't take an unneeded corrective bolus but I will do it anyway just because I don't want to see my blood sugar go up to 200.
My pump and I sat down tonight with a slice of pizza and a Gatorade to discuss our "problem". Some tears we're shed but our relationship is stronger than ever. My pump did tell me that the next time I see my blood sugar rising and take insulin to fix it that he will throw one of my bike tires in to the ocean. My pump won't take any crap and I don't blame him.
