As I did a lot of thinking I realized I'm not a professional athlete. I run one or two endurance events, a few half marathons, a few 5ks, and do a lot of training but I'm not getting paid for it. I'm getting paid to work 9-5, I love time with my fiancé and my children. That is my life, I need to get my A1C where it was so that I can be with them and live until I'm 100.
Going to the pump again doesn't mean that I can't run or ride my bike. I did that for almost ten years with an insulin pump that allowed me to be in charge. Going to the Medtronic 670G gives me some help. The pump is smart and will assist me in my diabetes management. In the coming days I will get into the specifics of the pump and what makes it so great.
Right now I'm playing the waiting game with my insurance. If my out of pocket cost is okay I will be back on the pump before the end of the new year. Time will tell, I can't wait to be back on the pump, I have missed it!!
