I always try to put the site on my sides (aka love handle area) that way it is out of the way while on the bike or when I'm in the gym. The problem is that the sides don't have a lot of room so I'm forced to place the site on my midsection. That is when the real fun starts, I like to keep the site towards my waist line where I have a little more fat, the problem with that location is that it will rub against my belt or causes an odd pain while on the bike.
This evening I moved the site location up a little bit on my mid section. I figure it is better to try and find new spots now while I can easily change the site if it causes any problems. My biggest fear is being on the bike or at work and not having any insulin going in because the site is bad. While at work I always have an extra site on hand but I have never carried an extra site while on the bike. I may begin doing so just to be safe, the last thing I want is to be sixty miles from home and having my pump beep because no insulin is going in.
