Day in and day out I hear about foods I should eat to help me recover from the run I had the day before. I then hear how I take in to many carbohydrates per day as a person living with diabetes. At the end of the day I'm the one that makes the final decision, if my blood sugars are out of range I have no one to blame but myself.
At the end of the day it's all on me. I can't blame Kate, my friends, or my parents for blood sugars that are out of range. I love living with diabetes because it challenges me each and everyday, that challenge has made me a better person. I owe my life to diabetes, it isn't always easy to keep my blood sugars in range but if it were easy I wouldn't learn from it.
