This time around I have almost 300 days to train all facets of marathoning. My body will be better prepared, I will have some experience and I will be a better diabetic this time around. Being in the gym all winter will be a huge help, I have been adding muscle so that my body is stronger when it comes to endurance events. I have a few half marathons planned for the spring and early summer, I will train correctly and build a great mileage base before going into all out marathon mode. Having the help of a nutritionist for this marathon will be a huge help, I will know what foods help me while running and that in turn will help my blood sugars.
I'm excited for the marathon but I'm more excited for the training that will go into making the marathon itself successful. I feel that I embarrassed myself in NYC, Hartford will be different!! As always the support from my family, friends and readers will be a huge help. I love that I will have support when things get rough be it with training or the race itself. That helps a lot and everyones words of encouragement help tremendously while running the marathon!!
