I believe that diabetes made me an endurance athlete, by the time I'm done worrying about my diabetes I have run five to ten miles and have enough left in the tank to push hard for the final three miles of a half marathon. After my training run on Saturday I will have a much better idea of how I would like to run my half marathon on May 4th. As weird as this sounds I'm more worried about my training run than I'm worried about the half marathon.
For the training run and half marathon I will be using the cycling jersey method to hold all of my diabetes supplies for the run. I will be using my Team Novo Nordisk jersey to run in, I couldn't think of a better jersey to wear!! My route for Saturday is below in case anyone would like to line the streets and shout encouragement!! Below that is the course map for the Providence half marathon, I believe the routes are very similar.
