Living with diabetes has taught me more about life than anything else. It pains me everyday knowing that I had access to diabetes supplies and didn’t use them to help manage my diabetes. Instead I was angry with my diabetes and said “why me?” People all over the world do not have access to the proper medicine and supplies to manage their diabetes and I had that access and didn’t use it.
Today I love my diabetes and have made it my mission to help anyone and everyone living with diabetes. Tonight I have the honor of attending The Team Type 1 Foundations annual Auction For Life fundraiser in Atlanta, Georgia. This is truly an honor, I’ve been smiling and shedding a few tears on the flight down to Atlanta.
What Team Type 1 is doing for those living with diabetes is truly amazing. Below are some facts and figures on what Team Team Type 1 has been doing.
