For three months Easy Ed has been by my side, he has seen way to many basketball games, seen Mt. Washington, traveled almost 100 miles with me while I run, and has saved my life numerous times in the middle of the night. With a major insurance hiccup I'm not sure when I will be able to reorder Dexcom supplies. I have one receiver that I'm saving for my half marathon on May 4th.
Without Easy Ed I'm nothing, my blood sugar wast 246 just before break this morning at work. A close friend and coworker saw the reading and said "I don't think I've ever seen your blood sugar that high, is everything ok?" I explained that without my CGM that I was unaware that my blood sugar had climbed since breakfast. I felt like my blood sugar was around 150, without the CGM alarm I was unaware of how high my blood sugar had gone. The next week or so will be very interesting, I will be testing my blood sugar a lot more in hopes of avoiding higher than normal blood sugars.
