As we get closer to summer many runners, cyclists, and triathletes will start feeling the effects of the summer heat.  As always a good diet, sleep and hydration are very important.  For myself and many others dealing with dehydration is  very tough.  Personally when I'm dehydrated I feel like I'm my blood sugar is below my set range.  This makes having my CGM calibrated and meter with me at all times very important.  The last thing I want to do is grab an orange juice thinking I'm below my set range and having my blood sugar just above my set range.  That will put me on the blood sugar roller coaster which is never a fun ride.  To avoid dehydration I walk around with one of these while I'm home.  That helps but the key is drinking water while working out, below are a few articles that deal with dehydration.  If any readers have tips or tricks I would love to hear them!!
