I have yet to hear back from the doctor on the blood work but the Doxycycline is working. How do I know? The pain in my joints has subsided but the pain from being in the sun for ten hours a day has taken its place. It took me about three days to learn that I'm a much better person when I stay hydrated and put on sunscreen every two hours. Those three days of not knowing how the Doxycycline would affect me were not fun.
The one good thing about the "Lyme" has been my blood sugars. Other than a spike this evening due to a sight change my blood sugars have been running lower than normal. I'm not sure why this is happening but I would bet that the Doxycycline has something to do with it. This week I have felt better and went for a short two mile run Monday morning. Tomorrow I plan on another early morning run and I'm hoping that each day I feel just a little bit better.
