I'm not sure but I believe I may have found a product to eliminate my dehydration and that product is Glukos Energy. I saw a post about Glukos on Twitter and after conducting some research this could be the best product for any athlete that is dehydrated. The science behind Glukos is not something I could easily write about but here is the basics from the Glukos website: GLUKOS provides twice the energy, twice as fast as the competition. Its unique formula contains no high fructose corn syrup, artificial preservatives, additives, colors or caffeine - just the perfect fuel to move the human machine. The newst problem that I have been having while cycling and running has been a lack of hunger. Yes you read that correctly a lack of hunger. On Sunday I went for a seven mile run before meeting Leanne at her parents for a nice dinner. As I began my run I felt great and had one packet of GU at mile three. GU is nothing new I have used it for years and don't believe that it is the culprit of my lack of hunger post workout. For the past month I have had to force down my post workout recovery meal. A few hours later I'm not that hungry, I will have my regulary scheduled meal but it is at much lower calorie intake than it should, right around 400 calories.
To solve the problem I have tried to have six 400 calorie meals throughout the day. That leaves my calorie intake at about 2,600 for the day. It should be around 3,500. I will be exploring more options as time goes on, again I'm not sure of the reason but if anyone knows why this may be happening I'd love to hear about it!!
