My blood sugars have been doing very well considering I have not been using the CGM. A low of 52 this afternoon but other than that everything has been going smoothly. That low was a result of taking to much insulin at lunch, I thought I would be less active than I was at work. Not having the CGM has caused me to be more cautious with the food that I'm eating and test my blood sugar a lot more, maybe this small break was necessary.
Obviously my diabetes life is not very exciting so I had to find something to write about tonight. Recently a lot of people have asked me "I notice you always wear headphones, what do you listen too while you run or bike?" When asked that question I give the simple "A wide variety of music" answer, the truth is I have some very odd music that I listen too. Music motivates me and takes me back to when I was a child or to special times in my life. When I run or bike my mind is going a 100 miles per hour, I'm worried about my pace, where I'm at position wise, what my blood sugar is and I'm thinking about life. When I have music with me I can escape, the music takes me away from what I'm doing and I can relax. When I'm running or on the bike the music I listen to falls in to three categories, Leanne, Emotional, and Smile. Without further adieu the songs that keep me sane while running or biking for four to eight hours at a time...
Leanne-All of these songs remind me of Leanne in someway, some of these songs make me smile while others make me have a smile and a tear or two.
