The real fun began after my workout, my blood sugar would shoot back to around 260 an hour later because my body was slowing down from the workout. I would then have to take six units of insulin to cover a hard boiled egg, a protein shake, and a slice of peanut butter toast. My blood sugars would not be "normal" until 9am. To solve the blood sugar roller coaster I have learned that just the greek yogurt is enough if my blood sugar is around 100 when I wake up. I will of course have a Gatorade and food with me while working out just to be safe.
Tomorrow will be interesting however, I have been avoiding the pool because I'm scared but I believe tomorrow will be my first shot at swimming. I don't know what to expect but I'm sure it will be very interesting.
