I never thought I would have the following that I have today, I owe a lot of the credit to Scott K. Johnson. Scott K. Johnson has lived with type 1 diabetes since April of 1980. Scott has been active in the diabetes online community since late 2004. He has his fingers in many different diabetes related projects, and continues to publish often on his personal diabetes blog, scottsdiabetes.com. He’ll be the first to tell you that he can no longer keep up with all of the great people and stories in the Diabetes Online Community (DOC), but he’ll also tell you that’s a great problem to have. Scott jumped at the chance to join such a talented team to co-host DSMA Live, and enjoys every moment of working with George and Cherise, on air and off. Scott lives with his wife and two kids in the Minneapolis, MN area. He uses an insulin pump and continuous glucose meter to help him manage his blood sugars, and is always searching for ways to do better. (http://dsmalive.com/dsma-live-voices/)
I can remember seeing the first time Scott commented on my blog and I got this childlike happiness, I was shocked that he commented. Since that day Scott and I have formed this close blog/facebook relationship. I make it a point to check his website on a daily basis and I'm always interested in his Facebook posts. It is so great to have someone there if I have any questions or just want to bounce ideas off of him. Scott is my diabetes big brother, and I can't thank him enough for what he has done and will continue to do in the diabetes community.
