I have planned to ride my first one hundred miles this Sunday, the weather should be partly cloudy with temperatures close to fifty degrees. I'm a little bit nervous however, I have been in the gym hitting the weights and doing spin classes, although I have been out on the bike it has been for only thirty miles. I just hope my body can take the beating that it will endure. I have broken my century ride in to two fifty mile rides. I have eleven hours to finish my one-hundred mile ride and believe that finishing around seven hours won't be a problem. I have decided to break the ride in to two rides so that I can return home to refuel, check my blood sugar and do whatever else I may need to do before going back out to finish.
This morning I went to the gym to workout but the rest of the week I will be out on the road getting ready for my ride on Sunday. As always I will be uploading all of my rides to the blog and updating everyone on my progress. I don't know when I became this crazy about riding my bike but I love it and can't wait for Sunday morning.
