Caught Looking

Sometimes you have one of those days where your blood sugar wants to hang out above the range you have set.  By no means is my blood sugar always in range but a majority of the time my blood sugar will creep above the range and drop back in range after an hour.  That I can live with, today however I got caught looking as my blood sugar played a game of lets hang out out of our set range.

This morning went very smoothly but after break I was given a job where I wasn't that active and was a bit late giving myself insulin to get back in range.  This happens but today it was one of those days where I became short tempered as my blood sugar got further and further from my set range.  Luckily I was working by myself so I only yelled and got mad at myself but still it was no fun.  I work with some great people however, while I was out of range they were themselves and made me laugh.  They had no idea how I was feeling and that I was angry with myself for letting my blood sugar get where it was.

Eventually my blood sugar got back in range and I was back to my normal fun loving self.  Taking a step back and telling myself that it will just take time to get back in to a normal range helped a lot.  I have no special way to fix a high blood sugar and need to remember that I took all of the proper steps to fix it.  The best news is that I have been in range since two this afternoon.  I had my little hiccup but tomorrow is a new day and I will get caught looking at my CGM again, the difference will be that my blood sugar will be in range all day long!!
