My goal is to cover the change that takes place as teenagers from all over the world attend the Team Novo Nordisk Talent ID camp. This change will happen as cyclists, as people living with diabetes and in the attitude of these teenagers when it comes to life in general. Personally this trip is a life changing experience as well, if someone told me when I was 22 that I would be in this position I would have laughed. At 22 I was in denial when it came to diabetes and the bike wasn't a part of my life. 11 years later I'm in this position and can't believe it. I haven't stopped smiling since waking up in Warwick just minutes away from the airport.
My goal while at camp is to do my best to give you the reader an inside look at camp. This will be done on Twitter with pictures and a short blurb. My goal is to give a short recap of the day on this website. A week from now a blog about the camp, my experience and the campers experience will be posted. Until that moment you can follow me on Twitter @CyclistDiabetic to see updates throughout the day!! As I prepare to land in Atlanta I can't stop thinking about how a dream is now a reality. I never thought I would be in this position and was laughed at, told I couldn't time and time again but somehow and someway I got here. Personally this is a dream come true but it is also isn't the end of the dream, now the dream just gets bigger and better!!
