Business as Usual

I feel like I'm in the movie Groundhog Day this week.  I have been eating the same things and taking the normal amounts of insulin, the only thing that has been different are my jobs at work.  My blood sugars have been very respectable and I feel great.  It makes for a very boring blog but makes for a very happy diabetic and a happy wife.

This afternoon I received an email from Map My Ride.  I opened the email and was very happy to see THE 2012 LE TOUR CHALLENGE  IS BACK!!!  I couldn't be happier, I quickly signed up for the Le Tour 1,087.  That is officially half the distance of the Tour.  I wrote yesterday that this imitation tour is for self satisfaction and it still is but if I can kick some butt while reaching a goal I will happily do so.  I don't know if it is my love for sports that has made me this way but I need rankings in my life.  I'm a bit competitive if you couldn't tell, I know that I wont be in first during this Tour but seeing people ahead of me in the rankings will push me that much more when I'm on the bike.  I encourage anyone that is interested to signup for Le Tour at http://www.mapmyride.com/tdf/ you can choose from 100, 544, 1,087 and 2,173 miles.
