It was now time to test my blood sugar, as soon as you insert the test strip the machine starts up and tells you to apply the blood sample. I love the much smaller blood sample that is required when testing with this machine. As soon as the blood is in the test strip the machine instantly asks if the test is pre or post meal, you can also not select an option. Five seconds later you are given your result in a large text which is very easy to read with the help of light. Yes my old machine was stuck in no light era so if I was testing while in a car at night I would have to turn on a light just to read my blood sugar.
PROS-Smaller blood sample, tones for high and low blood sugars, size of the machine, no coding for test strips
CONS-BULKY carrying case, bulky test strip container, the cap that covers the USB connector (a string to hold the cover would be nice, with a cap the size of a jolly rancher I'm sure to lose it when I hook it up to charge or to my computer.)
The cons are very picky, none of them really effect how the machine does reading my blood sugar. The cons are little things that I would like to see changed so it would be easier to put the machine in my pocket while at meetings or at work. This is a great machine and I would recommend it to anyone that is living with diabetes.
