The very minor surgery has my blood sugars doing some fun stuff today. I think it is hilarious that I have learned how to breath and keep myself relaxed when something is happening but my blood sugars still show that the adrenaline was high. Taking insulin to cover the adrenaline blood sugar spike was unsuccessful as my blood sugar has climbed since going to the doctor earlier in the day. Now I'm watching my blood sugar very closely so that I can see when it starts to fall.
One good thing has come out of this, I will be on the disabled list and that will allow me to setup my new pump which is due for delivery later this afternoon. I can now setup the insulin pump and ease into running and training with the pump. It is almost like erasing everything and starting over. I'm excited to start over with the pump and get back to running and training the way that I should.
